When is it too early to start shopping...........and time to call it quits!
So here is my answer to all the brides out there that ask and ponder "Is it too early to start shopping for my wedding dress?"
If you even have to ask yourself, you are not ready to start looking. Your still trying to figure things out. What styles do I like, which venue am I going with, colors and theme. In my opinion once you have these questions answered you have visioned yourself in your gown at your wedding saying your "I do's" and dancing the night away. You've even imagined your pictures. Brides, you also need to understand that your dress is not going to arrive overnight and it does in fact take around 6 months and 2 months for alterations(depending on what modifications need to be done to your dress). Girls who also feel the need to try every dress on, are in fact not ready to commit to the one. Remember the more you look the more confused you'll be and the more overwhelmed you will be. Go with your gut!

The Royal treatment......without the royal prices. Book you appointment NOW at BLISS!
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and you will never forget the experience of shopping for your dress.
So, here’s the deal, what I don’t understand is that you book an appointment to meet you photographer, see the venue and your florist, so why wouldn’t you book an appointment to search for the dress of your dreams. Getting married is suppose to be a once and lifetime experience, so why not apply that to shopping for your dress. It doesn’t cost you any extra!
Think about it; by booking an appointment you are avoiding the following: Frustration, by the overwhelming amount of people, fear; that you have to come out of the dressing room and you’re not quite sure how the dress looks on you and most of all you won’t have to fight over, who gets the mirror first; and you have your very own consultant to help you.
Think about it this way you have the entire boutique to yourself (maybe two other brides). You are guaranteed a private fitting room which mean you have your own mirror and sofa for your guests. And the best part is you don’t have to leave your room. Booking an appointment serves as a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for all those involved.
What does an appointment entail?
• What styles would be suitable for your body type, but remember if you don’t try it on you will never know what it looks like on YOU!
• Bring any pictures that you have collected and that you seem to like. Even if you only like certain parts of the dress we will be able to get an understanding of what your style is.
• Personalized service, someone to help you every step of the way.
I understand that it may not be for everyone but by booking an appointment you are gaining an experience that will last a lifetime.
Many people fear that by booking an appointment you have to commit to the dress on the spot; well that is not the case. Why commit to something that is just not right for you. You consultant will also be able to tell when something is just not right!
Many people also fear that by booking an appointment they feel intimidated that they are dealing with a consultant one on one. Ladies, that is not the case at Bliss, we are here to make you feel as comfortable as you would be talking to your closest girlfriends! Think of your time at bliss as an exciting adventure, playing dress up with all your friends and finding the right dress that screams you.
Check out the following link to hear others experience at Bliss! Hope to see you soon.....

Randy's 10 Biggest Bridal Mistakes
So last night I did my usual Friday night routine which includes watching episodes of "Say Yes to the Dress," which ended up being Randy's 10 Biggest Bridal Mistakes. What a great episode. I see at least 4 out 10 of these mistakes occur each week.
Here is what Randy believes are the 10 Biggest Bridal Mistakes that are made:
10. DON'T HATE IT ON THE HANGER: Often times brides will come into the boutique, sift through the dresses and dislike the dresses without giving them a try. Ladies, what it looks like on the hanger or in a magazine is totally different then what the dress is going to like on your body.
9. DON'T OVER DO IT: Often times girls come in and they want this over the top dress. One of the biggest mistakes that you can make is let the dress over power you. You should be the one who makes the dress.
8. DON'T OBSESS OVER THE WEDDING: Often times a girl will come in without an engagement ring to try dresses on, meaning he still hasn't popped the question. Just remember that for a relationships to work they cannot be pressured down the aisle. Just let nature take its course and don't lose sight of what's important; your love for one another.
7. DON'T OVER SHOP: Often times you will have brides come in more than once, twice and three times and also be shopping at other bridal stores. The more you look the more confusing it gets and you lose sight of what you are really looking for in a dress. Once you find the ONE, do yourself a favour and stop looking!
6. DON, SHOP OUTSIDE YOUR BUDGET: One of the biggest mistakes that you could do while shopping for your dress is try on dresses that are outside your budget as you may fall in love with it. You should never try dresses that are not in your budget, if your budget is not flexible.
5. DON'T GO UNPREPARED: When you do not have a clear idea of what you like in mind, often time’s brides will veto everything they look at or try on. Speak your mind. Let your consultant know what it is that you don't like about the dress. Do your research, look through magazines and online get an idea of what you vision yourself in. Once you have done your research go shopping with an open mind.
4. DON'T RELY ON MOM: Often time a bride will look to others for their approval. Remember this day is about you, if you look for others opinions you may be making the wrong decision. Listen to yourself and everyone else will follow.
3. DON'T MAKE A DRESS SOMETHING IT IS NOT: One of the biggest mistakes a bride can make is change the look of a dress. If it doesn't work that's why the designer didn't make it that way.
2. DON'T SECOND GUESS YOURSELF: Go with your instincts. If you already found a gown go with your gut because it's usually right.
1. DON'T EXPOSE TOO MUCH: Often times brides that have assets want to show them off. Don't expose to much as it leaves your guest feeling uncomfortable. Think of what you want your guests to notice first.
